Steak and mushroom

We enjoyed a STEAK AND MUSHROOM dinner last night. The steak was marinated for a couple of hours beforehand. The mushrooms were cooked in the oven, resulting in a wonderful crunchy texture.
You might think this plateful of food is laden with calories? Brown food often gives that impression, yet this meal isn't quite as bad as you may think (see below).
Our philosophy is to eat whatever you want, and our varied diet means we eat really well. Conventional diets generally rely on the TYPE of food eaten for success. Yet we've found there is no need to eat 'special' or 'diet' food to achieve a great weight loss. Take a look at our weight loss system, it's simple to use and we've shown just how much weight you can lose (and keep off). Make your New Year a great one, by enjoying everything you eat.
Here's our steak recipe and the methods used:
We began by marinating a couple of steak in a mixture of balsamic vinegar and a dash of honey. The steaks were around 150g each. We browned them (seared) in a hot frying pan, then placed into a hot oven for 5 minutes (medium/rare depending on the thickness of the steak).
The new potatoes (150g per person) were boiled until almost done, then coated in a teaspoon of olive oil and fried. Finally, we took a couple of large mushrooms and seasoned with salt and pepper. Crumble a small amount of blue cheese and mix with a few breadcrumbs and place on top of the mushrooms. Spray with oil and cook in the oven.
As you can see, the cooking methods did not rely on using lots of oil, and the end result didn't suffer. We estimate the whole meal at around 600-650 calories. Not bad for a Saturday night in.
